Quick start: Choose Traditional or Crapless, confirm the active tossing set, record Green then Red for each toss, and let Roll Matrix track the session. Pro tools are unlocked during beta testing.
1. Start a session
Use Practice Details to record the table or practice station, grip, time of day, date, and notes. These details stay with the session for later comparison.
2. Choose the game style
Traditional: 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 10 can become points. Crapless: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 can become points. The selected game style controls the live table-state logic and the Set Analyzer default.
3. Choose the toss style
Standard: Green = Left and Red = Right. Stacked / Chopper: Green = Top and Red = Bottom. Green/Red identity is preserved throughout the session and analysis.
4. Set the starting dice orientation
Enter the Top and Facing You faces for the Green and Red dice from the shooter's viewpoint. The advanced analyzer uses these starting orientations to calculate relative face movement.
5. Record tosses manually
Tap the Green result, then the Red result, review the Selected Toss, and press Record Toss. Clear Selection only clears the unrecorded choice. Undo Last removes the most recently recorded toss.
6. Voice Practice · Pro
Press Start Voice Practice once. Say the Green die value first and the Red die value second, either together or one at a time. Commands: undo, pause, resume, and stop practice.
7. Change sets and set segments
Changing the tossing set after rolls have been recorded starts a new set segment. Earlier tosses remain attached to the setup that was actually used. Single-set analysis is recommended for the cleanest comparison.
8. Session metrics and hand tracking
Roll Matrix tracks total rolls, SRR, hand rolls, rolls since the last 7, points made, come-out sevens, seven-outs, longest completed hand, and come-out totals of 2, 3, 11, and 12. A come-out 7 does not end the shooter's hand; a seven-out with a point active does.
9. ATS tracking
Small = 2,3,4,5,6. Tall = 8,9,10,11,12. All = all ten numbers before a 7. Small and Tall can be tracked independently, including table rules where a completed side resets and can be hit again before All. Any 7 resets the ATS cycle.
10. Save, import, and export sessions
Beta sessions are saved locally in the current browser/device. Full Session CSV preserves session details, game/toss style, set segments, roll history, and timestamps. Imported Roll Matrix sessions remain separate records, while matching set/style sessions can be combined in Set Analyzer.
11. Set Analyzer · Pro
The analyzer remaps recorded relative die-face outcomes across valid candidate orientations. It can rank for longest seven-free runs, fewest sevens, most sevens, Crapless extremes, or individual 2/3/11/12 counts. These are historical remappings of your recorded data, not predictions of future results.
12. Toss Profile / Dice Movement · Pro
Toss Profile shows which original face tends to finish on top, axis-compatible final faces, side-face exposure, net face displacement, and Green-vs-Red differences. “Axis-compatible” describes the final top face only and does not prove the die physically stayed on-axis throughout the toss.
13. Combining data
Matching tossing sets and toss styles can be combined from saved/imported sessions. Mixed-set normalization is an advanced option because it assumes your relative toss behavior stayed reasonably similar across the different starting sets.
14. Beta testing note
Pro features are temporarily unlocked for beta testing. Report anything that records incorrectly, behaves unexpectedly, or is confusing to use with the Send Beta Feedback button.
